The mission of the Duchesne Arts Council is to enrich the community culture by providing educational opportunities, presenting a variety of art forms, strengthening existing art programs, and promoting artists and art groups.
our story
When we started we had no money and little experience. It was evident that an organization needed to be formed to promote the arts and to provide support to local arts programs within the Duchesne area. So, as a group of highly motivated individuals we founded the Duchesne Arts Council on April 20, 2009.
Our motto is ‘art for every season’ and thus we sponsor a diversity of events each season of the year. We are passionate about providing opportunities for all age groups to experience the arts. We seek to build lasting relationships with our schools, businesses, municipalities, churches, groups, and clubs in this great community. With each passing year and event we have gained more knowledge, experience and support.
As volunteer members we are not all artists. We have organizers, dreamers, leaders, helpers, doers and more. We come from a variety of backgrounds. We are all in different ‘seasons’ of life yet our common motivation is the appreciation we all have for the arts.
